The April 2 2025 edition of AEW Dynamite is all set to be the go-home show for AEW Dynasty 2025, coming to fans live from the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois. With the big pay-per-view just days away on April 6, tensions are running high, and long-simmering rivalries are ready to explode.
AEW Dynasty 2025 will take place at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, marking not only the second-ever Dynasty event but also AEW’s first pay-per-view in Pennsylvania. The card is already looking stacked, with the return of Will Ospreay and the reveal of both the Men’s and Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament brackets.
Before all eyes turn to Philadelphia, Dynamite has a loaded lineup. Jon Moxley will team up with Marina Shafir in a mixed tornado tag match against Willow Nightingale and Swerve Strickland. After the chaos that broke out last week, this match promises to be wild. Moxley will have to keep one eye on Strickland, who he’s set to face for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty.
Over in the women’s division, things have been getting personal. Following a sneak attack on AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm during Collision, Penelope Ford is stepping up to try and wear Storm down before Dynasty. Ford will have Megan Bayne in her corner, the same Bayne who pinned Storm last week and will be challenging her for the Women’s World Title at the pay-per-view. Storm, never one to back down, looks ready to send a message to both women.
Claudio Castagnoli is also looking for payback this week. After being blindsided backstage by Cope, Castagnoli wants a piece of him before the big AEW World Trios Championship match at Dynasty. That match will see Castagnoli, Pac, and Wheeler Yuta — known as the Death Riders — take on Rated FTR, made up of Cope, Cash Wheeler, and Dax Harwood.
All signs point to a can’t-miss episode of Dynamite as AEW heads toward Dynasty 2025.
